Crystal River/Homosassa fishing is HOT!!!

Well folks, the fishing lately has been nothing short of fantastic!! The redfish bite is hot with many big reds coming to the net.

This time of year, the redfish begin to school up in large schools with sometimes over 100 fish in one school. When you locate one of these, you can have a ball catching as many as you want. On light tackle, these brutes are fun to catch.

In addition, top water action has heated up. Many of our trips this month we have caught reds, trout, big jack crevalle and bluefish on top water plugs. There is nothing quite like seeing a school of big jacks exploding the water, chasing a Mirrorlure Top Dog plug. Once hooked, you're in for a battle. Often, multiple hookups are the thing. Then it's it's the "Jack Crevalle shuffle" around the boat trying to land these rascals.

The fishing is outstanding now so come on out and book a trip and get in on the action.

Scalloping is also good in our area and we are running half day scallop trips. Give us a call and book a snorkeling/scallop trip.
