Trout season opens March 1st!!

Hello everybody,

After a long cold winter we finally had a few days of beautiful fishing weather and the fish cooperated... Blue skies, 80 degree temps, cool gentle breezes, low humidity and screaming drags and bent rods!!!

What more could you ask for?? Redfish, Trout, Jack Crevalles, Sheepshead, Drum, Grouper and Mangrove Snapper were all biting like they were all starved. Recent trips between fronts have been excellent and with March's warmer weather, it will only get better.

Speckled sea trout season reopens March 1st and if like recent years, should open like gangbusters!! Many big trout have been caught lately and carefully released. These are perhaps one of the tastiest fish around. Fry some of these filets up golden brown and they taste so good, they will make a puppy pull a freight train!!!!

We still some open dates for March and April for those of you up there in the cold frozen north. Come on down and enjoy some early summer like fishing and get a winter tan while enjoying a day on the water.

If you have friends coming in, take 'em fishing. They will have a ball casting to fish in crystal clear, pristine, unspoiled Gulf waters.
